As you may or may not know, I was recently elected Vice President of the House Rabbit Connection, and part of the reason I haven't been able to blog so much is because I've been doing my part to help find homes for rescued rabbits. In late June, one of the rabbits that HRC took in turned out to be pregnant, and on June 30, she brought 5 adorable little kits into the world. I figured you'd all enjoy a look at them:
3 days old
6 days old
"Excuse me?! Trying to sleep here!"
9 days old
"Pssssst...we're making a break for it after naptime. Pass it on..."
First eyes open--9 days old
12 days old
13 days old
"I hear you *squee*-ing out there."
"Is it dinner time yet?"
This is mama Grace.
She and her babies will be available for adoption once the babies are old enough (about 7 or 8 weeks).
"Hmph...I'd better be getting some treats for sharing my blog like this..."

Aww, so cute! I particularly like snuggly pic underneath the '9 days old' caption. :-)
What a great momma. Look at that cozy floofy nest she made. And she is passing along those excellent genes, not to mention the DNA for those magnificent ears!
Admit it, Jade, you are SO thinking of getting Mr. MIck a companion to share his Dominion and Rule.
Well Mick - you do need extra treats but by gosh it was worth it.
Congrats on the job and title! Hearts of gold back there.
Congratulations on your appointment to the Society! Those babies are really too much. You know I can't handle it. I go all mushy and have no control of the words coming out of my mouth! The ears! The perfectly formed little noses and whiskers! Little LOVES! Thank you for caring for them! :)
Well, it is going to be really hard to tone this down enough to get past comment moderation, but here goes (straining, sweating, struggling to keep a grip), the warning was insufficient. I better stop now. Thanks for taking care of Mum and the little ones.
Congratulations on your position! The bunnies are very lucky.
Even with the warning my head exploded but I was able to put it back together enough to get this comment up. I used to volunteer with the HRS in NYC and once three bunnies in our care had babies all at once. I was in SQUEE heaven for weeks.
What special pics! And I love the momma.
omg! she is stunningly beautiful! *swoon* - and those babies - well, what can I say???!!! there are no words for the abunableness now is there?
is Mr Mick looking for a wife and kids perhaps?? :)
Oh, just SQUEEEEEE!!!!! I love baby bunny ears! What adorable babes. Such pretty little things. Mom is a beauty, too.
Congrats on the new job title!!
I don't know how you can handle going in and seeing all that cuteness! I think I would be in the middle playing constantly :) Give Mickey a nose rub for us, and tell we still love him :)
OH MY GOD her ears are beautiful! Never mind the babies... <>
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
