Just found out that the Bunspace 2011 calendars (featuring a certain spoiled rotten mini-lop, among others) are now on sale at Bunspace.com . Proceeds from calendar sales benefit the House Rabbit Society.
In other news, Mickey's quarterly molar-grinding went well. It's a good thing we decided to change it to every 3 months rather than every 6 months; while his teeth hadn't gotten to a point where they were irritating his mouth, they were definitely bothering him to some extent. As his vet said, better to take care of it now when he's healthy than risk him possibly going into GI stasis, which would upset his immune system and make grinding his teeth more difficult. He's back up to a little over 6 lbs., which is a good weight for him, so all in all, everything's good.
"Hmph...easy for you to say, you weren't the one getting stuff stuck in your mouth and breathing funny gas..."

Aw, Mickey isn't spoiled rotten ... is he????
Great afghan plan!!!!
He would tell you he's nowhere near spoiled enough...and thanks, haven't had a chance to get to work on it yet, hoping to start this weekend. :)
Those are some very cute feets, Mr. Mick. Glad that tooth grinding went well, my Bandit had many trips to the dentist.....
He has super-fuzzy feets, they make trimming his nails VERY difficult.
what an adorable photo of the bunny tail and feet. Our old rabbit Anya always needed regular dental work
We were hoping that the tooth problem was a diet-remedied issue when I got him (he had been a neglected bun), but it turns out that it's the angle at which his molars grow that causes the problem--they just don't wear down properly. Fortunately, his front teeth wear down just fine.
Mick is an only bun, so he is not spoiled rotten, he just gets all the attention. What does he get for being a good boy at the dentist's?
Look at that sweet boy with his feets crossed! Glad Mickey's doing well.
FF: For once, he didn't get a reward, unless you count me putting off cleaning his cage, since he hates it when I do that. :)
Lisa: That is his stylized version of the Bunny Butt O'Snub. Normally, he stretches out alongside my chair facing out towards the room, but on the day of that pic, he was miffed at me about something, and chose to let me know in no uncertain terms.
So is Mr. Cutie boy in the calendar??? He's a celebrity??? How great is that!
He's much better at going to the dentist than I am. Ick, gag, puke.
xx, shell
He is in the calendar, and this is the second year in a row that he's been in the calendar, so it's totally gone to his head. ;)
He is a better boy about getting his teeth done than he used to be--he does NOT like anything going into his mouth that's not food, and he can put up quite a fight when the vet checks his teeth with her scope, but he's been better about it lately. He gets knocked out w/gas before the actual grinding so it's not a traumatic experience for him and the vet can do a thorough job.
