Took this during Mr. Mick's out-and-about time tonight:
I had forgotten about this treatball until recently, when I saw an article about a similar toy and realized that I could use Mick's papaya and pineapple mini-bits in the one I had. Of course being that treats were involved, he figured it out pretty quickly. Usually, he just picks it up and flings it until all the bits are out, but this time, he finally used it as he's supposed to.
He is doing quite well; the lump where the abscess was seems to be getting smaller and does not feel like it's filling up with ick again. We are keeping fingers and paws crossed for a clean bill of health when we see his vet again on the 10th.

Keeping bunny ears crossed and sending lots of love and light your way. Smooches to his Magesty from auntie shell
Nice action shots of Mr. Mick! I don't suppose you have any of him using the flinging technique? Bertie wants to compare his style with that of another same-sized bun. Glad he seems to be doing better!
Well done Mr. Mick. I started serving the 4Buns pellets in their treat balls, something iZ'd been doing before, but let go of. I noticed Tyler was getting a little bit of an arm skirt and figured he could use a bit of slimming, with the treat ball he has to work harder for fewer pellets. Hopefullyhe''l be ready for his swimsuit shot by fall. Good news about M's abscess, hoping it just goes away!!!!
Where does one get a treat ball? I've thought of putting their pellets in there like D.Moll suggests.
Yay for treats! Yay for a happy, healthy, steadily recovering bunny!
such good news - we have our fingers and paws crossed here for Mr Mick :)
(er, four fingers versus ... 8 paws!!)
good to see treats being dispensed on demand - my two have me well trained here in that department!
Go Mr Mick!! Great technique and perfect form, love it.
Good that Mick is doing well, lovely to see him playing in this video!
Mickey has mad treat ball skills! Glad to hear he is still improving.
Yay! <3 Mr Mick, so very handsome and talented.
I didn't REALLY just watch 106 seconds of a rabbit eating did I??? (I like Mick's footwork on the wood floor and the backing out from under the chair!)
Mr Mick is a master of the treat bsll!!! I love when he gets frustrated that only one treat fall out (near the chair) so he leaves it to go after the ball to demand more materialise, very cute ;o) I have to try this, I bet Patches will be the one to work it our first out of my brood.
Keeping fingers and toes crossed he gets the all clear on the 10th! He looks wonderful. Take care, Yollie xx
FF: Unfortunately, there are no videos yet of Mr. Mick's flinging skills--and even sadder, I did not capture the moment when he ran over to me with treatball in his mouth and dropped it at my feet because it was empty. It was too cute for words, but I could not grab my camera in time. :(
