*sigh* The things I have to do around here...

*blows cobwebs off the blog page*

*checks date of last post*

September 14?! MUUUUUUUUM! Honestly, do I have to do everything around here?

Hmph.

Hey all, Mickey here. Apparently Mum has been slacking in her duties as chronicler of my exploits and author of my press releases. Granted, there really hasn't been much going on there lately, but still, my adoring fans need to be kept informed and my adorable face needs to be shown as often as possible. Is that so much to ask?

I've heard that toes are popular lately, so here you go.

Let's see, what's been going on? Well, I was boy-free for about three days--my nemesis went on a weekend trip to Baltimore all by his lonesome last week. Mum was worried, but I was happy to have some peace and quiet for a change. (Heck, I was hoping he'd be gone longer--I might have been able to snag his room.) Of course, he had to come home safe and sound. I think he might have missed me, though; since he came home, he's been somewhat nicer to me--pets me a little more, slips me chunks of apple now and then. I guess he can stay...for now.

Mum has been on one of her "get Mick to try new food" kicks lately--she says the produce available at the local grocery stores hasn't been spectacular, so she's trying to introduce some new stuff so she'll have more options available. So far, the brussels sprouts have been a hit; the swiss chard, not so much. (Don't get me wrong, it's edible, but it just doesn't do much for me.) She's been trying to get me to eat more hay, too, but the really good hay she was getting before is out of stock, and what's been available is just meh. I'm fussy about hay, it's got to be just right before I'll touch it.

I got another new throne last week--now that the weather's getting cooler, Mum's wanting to make sure I have something warm to snuggle on when I want to. She's been wanting to take me outside for some fresh air, but there's just been too many bugs around. She says once the temperature's dropped enough to kill the bugs, she'll get the x-pen out.

Hmmm, I think that's about everything...whew, this blogging stuff is hard work. I think I need a petting break--hey, Mum!

Ahhhh, much better...

Ok, I think we're done here. I'm gonna take a little nap. Y'all have a good day--and don't worry, I'll make sure Mum does a better job of keeping this thing updated from now on.

Poor Mick, working so hard! Brussel Sprouts huh? We have brussel sprouts a lot for us humans. I don't think leftovers would make it up to Hef.
p.s. I have given up on my google id login so I use the name/url option.

I've been having some problems with posting comments on other people's blogs--the latest was having my comments disappear as soon as I hit the "post comment" button. I finally got that straightened out (I hope), but it's annoying as all-get-out. I think the next post on here may be about how to fix the assorted comment-posting issues.

Mr. Mick (aka Mr. Tocktober) is back! Yay! We think your person should take you on a field trip to a local farmers' market/natural food co-op/ Whole Foods and let you ramble through the vegetable offerings and select your own. At least you do have her well-trained in the art of scritching and throne selection. Good luck on achieving continuing good terms with your nemesis.

Google blogger does seem to try to inhibit comments!!! Your PS is what we have to do too, after we remember to sign in BEFORE filling in the comment box - which goes blank if we are not signed in.

Nice work by Mickey, toes and all. He deserves a week of nap again now ....

Lovely toes Mickey!

I'm using the name and URL option now, I can't sign in on this type of comment form using my blogger id!

Mickey, you are just adorable, head to toe. Weasley says he agrees with you about the chard and brussles sprouts. As for the Boy, he doesn't sound too much different from the Younger Girl. She likes him much better now that she's in college.

Love love love the toes!!!
And, yeah, Brussel sprouts are a big hit with Bella and Buttons too. You've given me an idea on the chard... I have more than we can eat growing out back, but hadn't thought to try it on the buns...

Oooohh, LOVE the tosies!!! Looking bun-tastic Mick, nice to hear you are trying new stuff. We love all the goodies that come our way when Yollie has been down to her Granparent's place, our new fav is the really tough and hard broccoli stalk that they grow in their garden, its scrummy!! We are so happy to read a new post from you, and hare glad you are all ok and enjoying life. Seems like the male was missing you perhaps a tad??? Keep well from all the gang at FCF ;o)

so handsome! love his petting photo :) and 'tocktober pic :)

Wes just will not eat his hay - expensive, cheap, alfalfa, fussy eaters ... coated in gold, coated in chocolate ... nope - he will not eat his hay!
so I think I may have to serve him fresh grass ...?

(are Wes and Mick brothers of the tooth perhaps??)
